I never (in my wildest dreams) thought that there was a ladder this heavy-duty. We had a cheap step-ladder in our office, that failed & we were lucky the guy wasn't hurt, because he was unloading heavy stuff. So we were determined to replace the cheapie ladder with the heaviest-duty mother we could find.This is it.We just unboxed this big boy and everyone in the office was a bit speachless (yeah, I know....it was a slow day here :-)Anyway, if you're looking for an indestructible step ladder that could serve as a decent bomb shelter -- this is it!!!

I think this ladder is worth its weight in gold.I am a 6-foot tall, large, "well-rounded" guy - given that I currently weigh in at just a few pounds over the 375-Pound listed capacity for this ladder. If you're my weight, do you want to risk your life every time you need to climb a short step ladder - to hang a picture up high, to reach an extra-high storage cup-board, whatever? Before I bought this ladder, if I wanted to get up high inside, safely, I would have to go pull in the large, heavy-duty folding ladder from the garage (the ladder I use outside to trim large bushes, clean the house gutters, etc.) Either that - or risk my life on one of those flimsy kitchen-style folding 2-step ladders. This ladder is so much better than either of those choices (large ladder from garage or kitchen folding steps).The wide steps and extra-wide top make for great footing. The incredible heavy-duty nature of the ladder means it feels completely stable and safe - even when standing on the top platform. There's no wobble, no fear of falling, no feel of the ladder flexing as if the ladder might give way. The ladder does its job well.NOTE: Be prepared for the fact that it will *always* be open. It ships folded, but once you open the legs and push down the locking brace, it is locked open forever. I'm fine with that. It adds to the stability of the ladder and to the comfort/safe-feeling factor - knowing that the ladder can never collapse. It means the ladder takes more room for storage, but I think that's a fine trade-off in order to achieve a ladder with a 375-Pound rating.Bottom-line - after shopping around for a super-heavy duty, short step-ladder primarily for inside use - this was the best choice I found. And since it arrived, I'm glad I bought it. Highly recommended.

The step ladder is indestructible but it can't be folded shut so it is tough to haul or store. If I had know that, I would not have purchased it. This step ladder is large.
