The Werner SSA00 Series (Aluminum) and SSF00 Series (Fiberblass) step stands are built like tanks and will truly last a lifetime. I currently own two each of both the aluminum & fiberglass 3' step stands (SSF03 & SSA03) and have enjoyed every single use with them over the past year and a half (I use them at least 4-5 times per week and have used/abused them to no end!).Anyway, I think it is important to clairify some key facts relating to the product's duty rating/load capacity. I say this because there is a review posted about 2+ years ago that really confused me in relation to their (incorrect) statements regarding load capacity/duty rating. So, I think it is important to set the record straight and outline the current product specifications for the various models of Werner step stands being sold on Amazon (as of 2012-Mar-23):SSF02 (2-foot) Fiberglass Step Stand: 375-lbs. load capacity / Type IAA Duty Rating.SSF03 (3-foot) Fiberglass Step Stand: 375-lbs. load capacity / Type IAA Duty Rating.SSA02 (2-foot) Aluminum Step Stand: 375-lbs. load capacity / Type IAA Duty Rating.SSA03 (3-foot) Aluminum Step Stand: 375-lbs. load capacity / Type IAA Duty Rating.In short, and contrary to the old review that I'm referring to, *all* the 2' & 3' aluminum/fiberglass Werner step stands listed above carry the highest load capacity & duty rating available (375-lbs. / Type IAA, respectively).I think the confusion was due to the fact that *BEFORE 2008*, Werner's step stand products only carried the slightly lower 300-pound load capacity / Type IA duty rating. Accordingly, for all *2008 AND NEWER* shipments from the Werner factory, these re-designed step stand models (listed above) now feature their strongest and highest capacity/rating (i.e., 375-lbs. load capacity & Type IAA duty rating).Anyway, all of the current inventory that Amazon now sells is apparently of this "NEW" (2008 and newer) design and therefore carries the 375-lbs load capacity / Type IAA duty rating, just as they advertise. NOTE: Just as a word of caution: I believe this is the case for all inventory shipped & sold by *Amazon*...this does *not* necessarily mean that all of the 3rd Pary Sellers (non-Amazon) selling these products are actually shipping/have in-stock the "new" (2008+) higher-rated/higher-capacity product.In summary, this is definitely an expensive product; however, as has been my personal experience, it's meant to be a "last a lifetime" type of product...you get what you pay for.

I wanted to buy a step ladder for a relative that specifically wanted one rated up to 375 lbs. I purchased this one and when it arrived I found that is only rated for 300 lbs. So I contacted Amazon and the SSF03 (which they have incorrectly rated as 300 lbs in the title) is actually the one rated for 375 lbs. Amazon REFUSES to update their incorrect information on their website. Amazon also refused to credit me for the cost of shipping back the incorrect item and since this is a heavy ladder, the shipping wasn't cheap.I LOVE Amazon, but this is a huge FAIL on their part :(Also they need to separate these items and have them listed separately rather than just a dropdown for 3 distinctly different items.The SSF03 is a good ladder and a decent price for what you would have to pay for it elsewhere. If it wasn't for the Amazon epic FAIL I would have rated the SSF03 as a 4 star.
