If you want to get up close and personal with your ceiling these will do the trick. I've been scraping the popcorn from my ceilings and moving a ladder all the time is a giant waste of time. I had never used anything like these before. The first 15 minutes or so I thought my feet were going to spontaneously burst into flames they burnt so bad....after my feet finally got used to the positioning and strain points that occur I was fine. The first day I used them I was up on them over 9 hours. I was sore the next day - feet and calves but I will take it because I cut my work time by half not having to go up and down and move ladders constantly. They are fairly easy to get used to balance wise - and by the end of the first day although I was exhausted I felt like I was becoming less and less afraid of falling. Falling would not be fun - It's a long way down to the floor. I would highly recommend these and for the price you can't go wrong.
