This is just an initial swag, I won't have a functional review for a while. This is my second Superwinch, I have the EPi9000 that I ran on my TJ Rubicon that was outstanding. I had to move to the Talon 9.5 because I needed a remote selenoid version for my Grand Cherokee's ARB bumper so I got this. Packaging was super IMO, like a inch thick cardboard crate, really packed well from the factory. Now for the bad factory comments...Superwinch is made in China, as are many of the top winches on the market, this is an unfortunate reality, but this has been one of the top made in China wiches, and their HQ is still in conneticut, so they enforce some quality control that the sub$300-400 winches don't, also better quality components. 2 issues I found while prepping for install into the ARB. 1. there is a bottom bar between the 2 mounting feet, 1 of the screws holding the bar in worked it's way out and was missing, not a huge deal especially the way it mounts in the ARB, but I found several of the allen head screws all over the which housing very loose, so check all of them. 2. this has no bearing on the winch performance, but the "Superwinch" Emblem on the motor was mounted upside down, lol. The Chinese, slave labor assembly line personnel obviously had no clue, Just something from a "Company" perspective that would really piss me off. Okay, thats it for now till I do some performance testing and get some pulls on it.
