This unit came with the aluminum dome dented and warped, I would have liked to return it but it was the last one in stock and possibly months before more would be in. Having removed the old fan before opening the box was my mistake, but who'd think any company would box one of their products looking like this one; so warped and dented with some dents that are in places that couldn't possibly happened in shipping. Actually the box looks fine, no holes or rips that would lead one to believe there was damage to the unit inside.I really wanted the high efficient. 2.1 amp 1/8 h.p. motor that comes in this fan which only Cool Attic seems to offer, other manufacturers best is 4 amps in a fan this size. So with not being able to get an exchange in any timely fashion from Amazon or finding one locally it's on my roof working fine, looking poor...I also contacted Cool Attic in Mineral Wells, Texas about the problem hoping they could send me just another hood to swap out with mine but they told me that I would have to deal with Amazon about any problems even though it's clear that this damaged hood started at the manufacturer. After my phone call with Cool Attic I e-mailed a set of photos showing the fan, its problems, and the box but have not had any type of response from them in nearly a month now. So much for buying products made in the U.S. if this is how manufactures feel about the workmanship in their products and their customers.Paul B.

This fan has reduced my power bill by removing the heat out of my attic. The overall atmosphere in our home has changed. Our HVAC unit is not struggling to cool the house down anymore. Fan arrived with a dented dome that was corrected with a rubber hammer.
