Read on my friend, this ones a good investment and has simplified an attic insulation job, and kept the lighting from becoming the one thing holding me back. Don't want to make a wrong step, you won't with this light. The electrical outlet on this light means one less cord and if all you needed was one anyway, your there. Leave the light as I did switched on and control it from the outlet. Ok, a few minute to warm up and get bright, but that's to be expected with this type of light. Met my expectations and then some...

I purchased this going into winter knowing that light is a necessity. When I received it I opened the box and installed the bulb. I plugged it in and nothing happened. I took the dome off again and re-installed the bulb, plugged it back in turned it on and 5 minutes later after the warming of the light... Very impressed! Works great and am using it almost all the time. Next purchase 400-watt Metal Halide. 4 stars instead of 5, first initial shock of nothing.

It broke after three months. Does not light anymore. It started to flicker then stopped altogether.
