I have owned this winch for about 5 years now. Has been a real workhorse, first pulling my full size Bronco, then after I sold that, mounted on my Jeep Rubi. Has very, very fast line speed. About two years ago, I burned out the winch motor while winching out a buddy in a mudhole. Oh, not such a great winch, you say? Well, I subsequently learned this was due to my own fault of improperly installing the winch without unplugging the bottom drain holes (read the instructions!). Water built up inside the motor, and, well, I am surprised it lasted as long as it did. Anyway, I sent the winch back to Warn with a letter describing what happened, and after they informed me of why the motor failed, they nevertheless replaced the motor, despite the fact it was out of warranty. Otherwise this would have been a several hundred dollar repair. The tech who serviced my winch called me personally to let me know what was going on, and after that even sent me nice vids of wheeling stucks, and things like that. Very cool guy. Bottom line is, when you have an organization as good as Warn backing up your purchase, you can't go wrong. Yes they are expensive, but in this case, like most things in life, you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

I purchased this winch awhile back and have not looked back yet. This winch out pulled the local tow company with his hydrologic winch. I love this winch!

With proper tools and lifting equipment I was able to install this winch using a Warn hidden carrier by myself in a weekend. I probably could have done it in a single day if I'd had an extra pair of hands. I pre-stressed (i.e. streteched, per instructions) the wire cable prior to first use and during this effort I got my first taste of how fast this winch's line speed is. I'm very impressed.The winch's construction feels bulletproof. Fit and finish is fantastic. And it's Warn -- known for durability and dependability. I was on the fence about buying a Warn as the cost is way, way up there compared to competition. However, seeing what I now own first-hand compared to lesser-quality winches my buddies have ... I'm pleased with this purchase and feel I'll have years of reliable service to come.
