I was very excited to find an alternative to burning logs or converting to gas logs. This is relatively easy to install. And it's not a permanent change. This set of logs is easy to pull out if we decide to do something different later. And the price for the logs is really good, compared a set of vent free gas logs.I wish the instruction had said to install log #2 before log #1 (the small logs on top), as the logs don't fit exactly as they do in the picture. Maybe it's just my set, but try keeping the screws a little loose until you've got the logs all on and then tightening them up a little--but not too tight.If you get really close to the logs and look into it you can see a little bit of the can. But sitting in the room five feet away they are not visible.It appears that regardless of which site you buy this set, or the fuel from it ships from the manufacturer.The places where the fuel cans go are square and a bit bigger than the cans, so if you're looking at using another brand of gel fuel you don't have to worry too much about an exact fit--you've got a little room to work with.I think this is a great set for the price--if you're using them as the description states. That is, to convert an existing fireplace. If you're looking for something for a fire bowl they do make those, but this is not the right set.

Just as it states. Good flame lasts well over 3 hours. Looks great in the fireplace to set the mood for whatever you need. Better than having an unused fireplace, or making a huge mess!

I have had my gel firelogs for over a year now. I just pop in two cans of fuel gel and enjoy 3 hours of flames and it looks great. I do open the flu just a bit. Even when they aren't burning, the logs look nice. It is such a great product and so easy to use.
