This is a great fan/light/nightlight combo. It has the soft-start feature so the fan slowly gets up to speed, no sudden noise. It is VERY quiet.

I had spent the best of two weeks searching for a fan/light combo for my recent total bathroom remodel--it was the last item I replaced. The most important issues in finding a fan were not only the price, CFM, and sone ratings, but the rough-in and cover dimensions (my bathroom is small and there is a vent near the cutout for the fan/light). This Delta fan/light met all of my requirements. As advertised, the fan is indeed quiet, and appears to do a good job in removing post-shower moisture. The install took me about 30 minutes--most of the time was spent enlarging my cutout to a final size of 9.75 inches square. One of the best features of the fan is the flange--if you cut the ceiling opening to between 9.75 to 10 inches square, the fan can be pushed up from below into the attic space and the flange (larger than 10 inches) meets the ceiling surface--now, if you are aligned properly with a stud, just screw the flange into the ceiling/stud and the bottom becomes automatically aligned with the ceiling surface. The final securing and wiring is done in the attic--5-10 minutes max. This is the first time I was able to replace a bathroom fan on my own without needing a second pair of hands. The cover is not as "attractive" as designer models, but it was a good trade-off for me. The only disappointing feature (for me) was the light bulb--it is a two-pin GU24 twist-lock--difficult to manipulate in the small housing carriage. Also, I will probably need to go with a more intense light--it is not as bright as you would think (26W CFL=100 W) but I don't know if they make more intense GU24 bulbs. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase, which was a good value for the price.
