The Nordic Pure Air Filter has the highest M.E.R.V. rating (MERV 13) of any of the popular types and brands. For example, the 3M Filtrete's own rating system of 2200 is equal to a M.E.R.V. Rating of 12. The Filtrete filters of the same size sell for around $20.00 EACH -- while the Nordic Pure Filter has a higher MERV Rating , and sells for about $8.50 each in the 12-pack !! As for cleaning the air, we have used the MERV 13 Filters for over 2 years -- and our home is relatively dust-free, with none of the common problems with asthma, allergies, or year-round breathing issues that we experience here in the desert climate. The Nordic Pure MERV 13 Air Filters are proudly made in the USA -- at less than half the cost of Filtrete's finest. Better air quality for a lower price -- We made the switch, and we'll never go back !!
