I had foam in my original galvanized gutters and found some benefits. When I replaced my gutters I decided to use the same foam system. This product was super easy and quick to install, and thus far has prevented the accumulation of leaves and has been maintenance-free. One crucial benefit I've seen is foam inserts seem to reduce the occurrence of Ice-damming, as the black material soaks up solar energy and helps prevent freezing at the gutter. I'll see how this product holds up over the years but so far so good.
