This is a great electric fireplace. It is my first one, so I can't compare it to others. The processing time is definitely 3 days, but Wayfair was very generous with their shipping and handling; the package shipped yesterday from the LA area and I already had it today by noon. The packaging is very effective, it is simple but clearly protects the whole unit (simplicity is beauty in this case). It was very easy to mount to the wall, and I am really fond of the lip style mounting system. The unit looks very nice, just like the picture (of course it looks better in person) and there are no questions running through my mind about the quality of this item. It is very solid, nothing wiggles around, the metal has a nice coat, and the glass face removes easily for maintenance and/or cleaning. With regards to the heating unit, it definitely holds up to its claims. I live in a 665 sq. ft. apartment and the temp went from 60 to 80 (F) in a matter of a couple of hours. With a advertised life span of 25,000 plus hours I don't think I'll need another one for a solid amount of time. A great "do it right the first time" purchase.Flaws: The only cosmetic flaw that existed is a pinhead sized chip on the outer edge of the glass covering. When I say pinhead I literally mean pinhead...and a small pin at that. It is way to small to even notice, I only noticed it because I mounted it, and I have a sort of "owners OCD". I have a feeling this is not typical, and since it is such a small flaw I am not the slightest bit sore about it. One more thing is that when the fireplace is glowing I can see something casting a shadow through the flames on the right side, which I think is just the tinsel that must have dangled out of place. I am not worried about this because it looks fixable, and if it's not I have confidence in Wayfair's customer service; I'm sure they'll be happy to give me tips or fix it if something is wrong. They have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with so far.Overall:*Sturdy*Very warm*Visually attractive*Respectable price*Quiet*Eco friendly answer to heatingI would definitely recommend this to anybodyUPDATE (Dec. 18):The shadow being cast through the flames is just the cords for the heater unit. I didn't take it apart enough to adjust the placement of the cords but finding out they were cords I really don't care anymore. Seems like an easy fix if it would drive you crazy.

Purchased this a few months back and had to wait for the room to be painted before I had it installed. Had an outlet installed near the unit so I didn't see a cord, so it was professionally installed at the same time. Like another reviewer, my remote does not work...more disturbing is the heat output...I have been using an infared heater in the room already, so I know how warm the room should get and this unit just doesn't come close to heating my average master bedroom. I hope the unit is broken, cause if this is it...it's crap. I will this review after speaking with the company.Addendum: I now have a very expensive fireplace moving graphic for my wall. No luck contacting the company, the heater either doesn't work or is so poor it just doesn't do the job. The remote never worked. I finally ordered a new unit to replace it (different brand) and what a difference, better looking flames, and MUCH better heating...I only needed low to heat the room effectivley). There are better units out there for the same price....move on to one of them and leave this one alone.

I am very happy with my new electric fireplace. It arrived in perfect condition, works great, and looks beautiful. It was easy to mount. The only negative thing i have to say about this fireplace is that the window to see the fireplace is a lot smaller than I thought it was. The black glass around the fireplace is about 4.5 inches wide. So the size that is given for the fireplace is much smaller if you only count the area that shows the fire and logs. Overall, its a nice item for the price.
